So in two weeks time, I’ll be wearing a bikini out for the first time in my life -Woohoo!! Not even remotely scared anymore. :D
i did it yall! i wore a bikini to a crowded beach! i am very very proud of myself
p.s. i look a little rough because i had just boogie boarded my ass off lol
I adore this picture for 2 reasons. 1. She conquered her fear and 2. NO ONE IS EVEN FUCKING LOOKING AT HER. People are so scared to wear a damn bikini in public but I can guarantee you, no one is out there to people watch and judge. Well, maybe some but really?!?!! That’s THEIR insecurities, not yours! They aren’t making fun of your weight, they’re jealous that they can’t flaunt themselves out like you!
Embrace your body, embrace yourself <3
Okay so I was diagnosed with PCOS a few weeks ago.
PCOS= polycystic ovary syndrome
I have little cysts and crystals all over my ovaries/uterus which prevent me from ovulating the way an average woman should. The disease increases my risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and ovarian cancer….
THUNDERTHIGHS
Now that we’ve demonstrated that I am wildly liberal and politically angry, back to our regularly scheduled artwork. Thank you for bearing the brunt of my art block.
This is an amalgamation of two things: my need to see body diversity in art, and my recently discovered love for poster making. I never understood why ‘thunder thighs’ was an insult. It sounds powerful to me. Reminiscent of an almighty, unstoppable ruckus in the clouds, a veritable fucking rock show of giants, Bikini Kill on amps the size of mountains.
Thunder thighs, huh? I can dig it.
